About the Password Generator
Short or predictable passwords are easy to guess. This password generator creates long random passwords using your browser's secure random number generator, and the password is never stored or sent to a server.
How to use the Password Generator
- Move the Length slider to choose how many characters you want.
- Tick the character types to include: A–Z, a–z, 0–9 and symbols.
- Click Generate for a new password, or Copy to put it on your clipboard.
Good to know
- A length of at least 14 to 16 characters with a mix of character types is a good starting point for important accounts.
- Use a different password for every account, and keep them in a password manager so you do not need to remember them.
- Some websites do not accept certain symbols. If a site rejects the password, untick Symbols and generate another one.

Why not choose a password I can remember?
