About the GPA Calculator
Your grade point average (GPA) is the average of your course grades, weighted by credit hours. This calculator uses the common 4.0 scale. Pick a grade and the credit hours for each course and it shows your semester GPA straight away.
How to use the GPA Calculator

Good to know
- The grade points used are A = 4.0, A- = 3.67, B+ = 3.33, B = 3.0, B- = 2.67, C+ = 2.33, C = 2.0, C- = 1.67, D+ = 1.33, D = 1.0 and F = 0.
- GPA is calculated by adding up grade points times credit hours and dividing by the total credit hours.
- Universities can use slightly different grade tables, so check your own institution's rules for official results.

What is a good GPA?
It depends on the school and programme. Many scholarships and graduate programmes list a minimum GPA on their websites.
Does this calculate my cumulative GPA?
It calculates one set of courses. To find a cumulative GPA, add every course from every semester into the list.
What about courses with no credit hours?
Enter 0 credit hours and the course will not affect the result.
