About the Remove Duplicate Lines
Email lists, keyword lists, product codes and exported data often contain repeated lines. This tool removes duplicate lines, deletes blank lines and sorts a list alphabetically, so you end up with a clean list you can use straight away.
How to use the Remove Duplicate Lines
- Paste your list into the box with one item on each line.
- Click Remove duplicates to keep only one copy of every line.
- Use Sort A–Z to put the list in alphabetical order, or Remove empty lines to delete blank rows.
- Select the cleaned text and copy it.
Good to know
- Duplicates must match exactly. "Apple" and "apple", or a line with an extra space at the end, are treated as different lines.
- The first copy of each line stays in its original position, so the order of your list is kept.
- You can click the buttons in any order. For example, remove empty lines first and then remove duplicates.
Frequently asked questions
Does it ignore upper and lower case?
No. Matching is exact, so different capitalisation counts as a different line. Use the Case Converter first if you want to compare without case.
How long a list can I clean?
Lists of thousands of lines work fine on a normal computer or phone because everything runs locally.
Is my list uploaded?
No. Nothing leaves your browser.
